Richard Smallwood, born November 30th 1948 in the city of Atlanta, Georgia to the parent’ of the late Ms. Mabel R. Smallwood. The MOVEE’S TON salutes the late, “Ms. Mabel R. Smallwood.
The young “Richard” began this musical career in 1977 where he formed “The Richard Smallwood Singers in Washington, D.C.
It is duly noted that the young man “Mr. Richard” attended and graduated “Cum Laude” from “The Howard University” with degrees in Vocal and Pianist Performance. “Mr. Richard” finished his “Masters” Degree in Divinity from Howard University in year 2004.
Mr. Richard Smallwood began his recording career in 1982 with “The Richard Smallwood Singers.” He’s profoundly celebrated for his career talents and gifts such as: composer, arranger, pianist, music director. Richard Smallwood music has been recorded by various outstanding recording artists such as: Destiny’s Child, Yolanda Adams, and Karen Clark Sheard. Mr. Smallwood is predominately known for his performance in musical concerts with many renowned and prominent artists!
